Company “Telasi” acquired a modern mobile laboratory for the operation of 110 kV underground cable lines.
Electrical part of the laboratory is equipped with German - made equipment, company Megger as well as modern computer systems. The mobile laboratory is mounted in a Ford Transit vehicle, which provides testing of 110 kV cable lines and location promptly and accurately.
For the purpose of operating the laboratory and cable lines JSC “Telasi” provided pre-training of the personnel in Germany.
Over the past period demand for replacement of 110 kV overhead power lines with underground cables has increased. This was due to the increased demand for reducing protection zones for overhead power lines, especially in densely populated areas of the city.
As of today several projects are in the development process in JSC “Telasi” distribution network, which provides replacement of 110 kV overhead power lines with underground cables.
JSC “Telasi” began creating a technical and material base necessary for servicing cable lines at an early stage. To date it is the first company in Georgia which is ready to provide operation of 110 kV overhead power lines.
For its part, this project ensures smooth operation of the Company’s distribution network and increases the reliability of electricity supply to the consumers.
