JSC “Telasi” took third place in the competition for the best annual report and transparency among large non-financial companies.
Only those companies that have unmodified (i.e. without any comments) auditor’s report can become nominees for the competition and those who promptly published their reports on the website reportal.ge (SARAS). After that they carry out an assessment of annual reports for certain large financial companies, large non-financial companies, small and medium businesses according to the following categories:
1) Management Report ("Telasi" took third place with 22,3 points)
2) Corporate Governance Report ("Telasi" took first place with 14,7 points)
3) Non-financial Information ("Telasi" took third place with 10,5 points)
4) Other transparency indicators ("Telasi" took first place with 13,4 points)
Total the company received 60,9 points and took the third place.
The award for the best annual report and transparency in Georgia was established in 2019. The project aims at encouraging compliance with new reporting rules, encouraging healthy competition among the companies and improvement of common corporate reporting standard for achieving trust at the local and international level.
The competition is held as part of a joint financial inclusion and accountability project of the World Bank and EU with cooperation of National Fund of Support of Accounting, Audit and Statements Reforms.
In 2019-2021 years in a row “Telasi” received an award for the best annual report and transparency among the nominees of large non-financial companies.
