To improve the quality of power supply, within the framework of the investment program for the years 2024-2028, JSC “Telasi” has implemented the reconstruction and modernization project at “Airport” substation.
Within the framework of the project, the works have been carried out on 35 kV open distribution equipment and the substation operations control point.
Instead of the technically obsolete full of oil HV distribution equipment and commutation devices, new, modern, vacuum type remotely controlled ones have been installed. The new equipment is distinguished with high reliability and environmentally friendly features.
At the same time, the operational control point of the substation has been fully changed. The old equipment of electric-mechanical control and relay measuring protecting devices have been substituted with modern intelligent digital terminals, thus improving the quality of the substation operational control. The cost of the project equals GEL 2 150 000.
„The project has allowed us to significantly increase the quality of energy supply and reliability for more than 3 5000 customers, including such important facilities, as Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport, „Sakaeronavigatsia”, railway, National Centre for Disease Control and also the Airport settlement. Besides, the environmental and labor protection conditions have been improved for the technical personnel at their workplaces” – stated Sergei Kobtsev, the JSC “Telasi” General Director.
