For the reliability of the city’s power grid in 2023 the Company successfully implemented various projects.
As part of the Investment Program in 2023 rehabilitation works were carried out at Substation Sanapiro which provides power supply of Saburtalo region. Rehabilitation was carried out at the Central Distribution Point-5060 (Vazisubani settlement) and Central Distribution Point -5036 (First Clinical Hospital). In addition full reconstruction of overhead transmission line Khevdzmara -1 was completed, as well as partial rehabilitation of substations Mtatsminda, Makhata, Navtlugi -2 and Lilo-3. The purpose of these projects is to increase efficiency and reliability of Tbilisi power supply, increase in capacity for further development of the city’s power grid.
In 2023 company Telasi distributed 3,464 billion kilowatt hours electricity, which exceeds by 6, 1 % (198 million kilowatt hours) the volume of distributed electricity for the same period of 2022. This growth was due to economic activity of the country and increasing the number of new customers.
Number of JSC Telasi customers as of December 2023 compared to the same period of 2022 increased by 3, 5% (25, 5 thousand customers) and amounted to 750, 9 thousand customers. From which 673, 2 thousand are physical entities and 77, 7 thousand – legal entities.
According to 2023 data total length of power transmission line was 6 854 km, which exceeds by 2, 9 % (193 km) 2022 year indicator (6 661 km). Total length of the company’s electric transmission lines was increased as a result of network development, reconstruction and modernization works.
