JSC “Telasi” is one of the largest grid companies in Georgia, which carries out power distribution in Tbilisi. Annual power consumption in the capital is about 3 TWh.
The main types of the Company’s activities are transportation of electricity; maintenance, operation, reconstruction, modernization and development of the power distribution grid of Tbilisi to ensure the efficient functioning of the power supply system. The Company renders electricity transit services, consumer maintenance services, and administers the Unified Integrated and Coordinated System of Electricity Supply, Water Supply and Cleaning Service in Tbilisi.
To this date, the Company employs 1866 individuals.
Consumer services and grid operation are carried out via 8 business centers situated in all the administrative districts of the city. The number of the Company’s consumers is 708.7 thousand.
The total spread of the capital’s grid is of 6,455.6 km. The Company owns 36 step-down substations of 35/110 kV and 2,205 transformer substations of 10/6/0.4 kV.
Telasi carries out activities on technical re-equipment and modernization of the grid. The main attention is paid to the rehabilitation of the most technically vulnerable segments of the distribution grid. The top target is to minimize the number of technical violations and reduce significantly the level of electricity losses.
